When I interned at National Public Radio's Tell Me More show
I sheppherded two story ideas into on-air segments. Near the start of the internship, I suggested that we do a "Wisdom Watch" on filmmaker Charles Burnett.
Around the middle of my internship, I pitched something from a college newspaper, the Daily Iowan, about a controversy with the student newspaper at City High School, in Iowa City.
Twin Cities' KFAI Radio
I created, produced and hosted several one-hour conversations on KFAI radio 90.3 FM in Minneapolis/106.7 FM in St. Paul.
- In June of 2005 I spoke with Tom Romero, Ph.D., an Hamline University Assistant Professor of Law about the intersection of U.S. laws and "racial" concepts and constructs.
- In 2003 I spoke with Professor Roderick Ferguson, now with the University of Minnesota's African-American and African Studies department and Professor Kendrick Brown, with Macalester College's Psychology Department, about living with and defining multi-"raciality" and multi-ethnicity in our contentious Twin Cities and the world over.
