My Intern Edition story: There are still heated debates over which political party is a true friend to a majority of African-Americans. As Black Republicans are working to increase their membership and candidates, some are optimistic that the African-Americans will find their place in the GOP.

 

 

When I interned at National Public Radio's Tell Me More show

I sheppherded two story ideas into on-air segments. Near the start of the internship, I suggested that we do a "Wisdom Watch" on filmmaker Charles Burnett.

Around the middle of my internship, I pitched something from a college newspaper, the Daily Iowan, about a controversy with the student newspaper at City High School, in Iowa City.

I created, produced and hosted several one-hour conversations on KFAI radio 90.3 FM in Minneapolis/106.7 FM in St. Paul.
